Evaluation of Reinforced Concrete Tall Buildings with End Shear Walls Subjected to Sequences Far from the Fault

Many parameters affect the behavior of tall buildings under seismic loads, some which are main shock-after shock records and using lateral load resistance systems in reinforced concrete buildings. End shear walls a kind walls, connecting their end This study was conducted on two 30-story structures, were subjected to sequences far fault analyzed by nonlinear time history analysis. The results indicated 51% decrease maximum inter-story drift 30 stories with sequence records. normal Q-Q plots (quantile-quantile plot) presented approximately 20% reduction excepted domain X Y directions, respectively, walls. kurtosis coefficient declined 61 92% directions structure respectively. Therefore, wall increased confinement effects decreasing dispersion data improving behavior.
